How We Brought
David to Digital Life

We combined physical precision with digital innovation using 3D printing, modeling, and web technologies to reimagine Michelangelo’s masterpiece for the modern era.

Rendering the statue

The physical aspect of the project was executed using a Bambu Lab 3D printer, known for its speed and reliability. The digital model of David was carefully optimized and printed in high resolution, allowing us to faithfully reproduce the sculpture's fine anatomical details.

For the online experience, we built a responsive website using a blend of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We used the <model-viewer> component by Google to render the 3D model in real time directly in the browser. This allowed users to rotate, zoom, and explore David from all angles, even on mobile devices.

Styling was handled with the help of the HTML5 UP “Massively” template, adapted to match the theme of classical beauty meeting futuristic design. We ensured accessibility, cross-device compatibility, and performance optimization to make the experience smooth for everyone.

This project is a tribute to blending timeless culture with today’s accessible technology. From slicing in Bambu Studio to hosting the interactive model on the web, every part was driven by a passion for art and a love for innovation.
